Secret Local Adventures
Secret local adventures is a family-owned business and was founded in 2016 and we are located 5 km. (about 3 miles) from the small town Flúðir. The company is owned by the friends Guðmann (Manni) and Hjálmur (Hjalli) but they also guide our river rafting tours!  Secret local adventures offer guided river rafting tours with local guides, down Hvítá river. Our customers will be able to experience breathtaking nature in Hvítá canyon that is only accessible by boat and of course we promise a day full of fun! We always travel in small and personal groups and customize the trip to your needs! Whether you are traveling with friends or family, we always have fun! We have two types of trips, the first is during the day but the second is a „summer special“. During the summer we offer midnight trips where you can enjoy the Icelandic summer nights in a unique way!  Secret local adventures is one of very few companies that operate in dry suits. Our gear prevents water from getting inside the suit leaving our customers 90% dry when we finish the trip. The dry suits also keep you warm so you don‘t need to worry about the cold water ruining the trip!  We are located at the end of the Golden circle and are close to many nice restaurants, natural hot spring and other fun activities.  You can find all the information about our trips, gear and prices on our website, secretlocal.is. Please feel free to contact us with any questions by calling to one of these numbers +354 899-0772 (Manni) or +354 865-3511 (Hjalli) or send us an email: secretlocal@secretlocal.is.  Can‘t wait to have an amazing rafting trip with you this summer!
Mountaineers of Iceland
Mountaineers of Iceland is the oldest snowmobile tour operator in the country, founded by Herbert Hauksson in 1996, with over one hundred snowmobiles in operation and capacity to welcome large or small groups on Langjökull glacier.  Langjökull glacier is Europe’s 2nd largest glacier and is our main area of operation. The glacier is home to our base camps, both on the glacier’s east and west sides.  We also welcome independent travelers to us with a variety of snowmobile tours operating from Reykjavík, Gullfoss and Húsafell. You can see all our tours on our website www.mountaineers.is
Arctic Rafting
From Gullfoss waterfall, a glorious canyon descends down, creating the perfect scenario for a fun rafting experience. The Hvítá river originates from Langjökull glacier and has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. On this beautiful rafting journey you raft down 7 kilometers, enjoying a view you can only experience while floating downstream in a boat. You will be making a stop at Brúarhlöð canyon where the thrill-seekers can cliff jump into the river below if the conditions allow. You will be outfitted in a wetsuit to make the experience enjoyable and a life-jacket to keep you afloat. Hvítá River is a class 2 river which means that there is plenty of fun and excitement but no previous rafting experience is required. This rafting trip is for everyone that fancies a little adventure and is suitable for most ages and abilities.  Rafting down Hvítá is an amazing way to spend the day and we firmly believe that no one should leave Iceland without experiencing the jaw-dropping views, splish-splashing down an Icelandic glacial river. After the excitement you can warm up in the hot tubs and sauna and relax and enjoy a cold beverage. We also recommend adding a delicious BBQ lamb or a hamburger (vegan options available) to your booking for you to enjoy at Drumbó River Base. Come join us and experience the power of the river. Grab your paddle & let’s go get wet!
