Southcoast Adventure is located in Hvolsvöllur and offers tours of the South Coast and the highlands as well as other special tours. Most of the guides live in Hvolsvöllur and are very knowledgeable about the area, as most of them have grown up in the area and worked in this sector for many years. Specially equipped, modified jeeps are used for most tours and there is equipment to deal with most of what nature has to offer, both in winter and summer. We also offer snowmobile tours on Eyjafjallajökull where the view is magnificent, a buggy tour into Þórsmörk you can choose from 1 hour up to 5 hours and not to forget the popular Kalta Ice Caves. Since 1994 we have offered exciting super jeep and snowmobile tours on Europe´s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. We pick you up from Vagnsstaðir and start our magnificent drive towards the glacier, we will see location spots from movies that have been made here such as Batman Begins, James Bond (Die Another Day), Tomb Raider, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and from the TV show Game of Thrones. At Brú we offer all kinds of tour that are suitable for both individuals and families Buggy tours in Þórsmörk are a unique way to enjoy Icelandic nature and include several waterfalls and gravel road driving. A stunning natural playground for the next few hours where you test your buggy skills is surrounded by the incredible scenery that only Iceland can offer. These two-seaters, 4×4 buggies are fully automatic, fully inspected, and road-legal. They are also full of great safety and design features, such as a roll cage, seat belts, and double A-arm front suspension. All of this makes for a car that is as safe and comfortable as a car. Mountaineers of Iceland is the oldest snowmobile tour operator in the country, founded by Herbert Hauksson in 1996, with over one hundred snowmobiles in operation and capacity to welcome large or small groups on Langjökull glacier.  Langjökull glacier is Europe’s 2nd largest glacier and is our main area of operation.
