Þakgil is located in a beautiful valley, surrounded by mountains, 20 km from Vík by road 214. These conditions make the weather in Þakgil  very mild and calm, and a lovely little freshwater stream trickles though the camping site and in front of the houses. The common dining room is in a cave that can be lit up by candles and heated by a fireplace in cold evenings. Hiking routes to interesting places of variable difficulty are all around, including to the glacier. The campsite has brand new WC and shower facilities with an outdoor sink for dishwashing.  

Lambhus Cabins Enjoy the fantastic views of Vatnajökull Glacier in your private cabin. The cabins have sleeps for up to 4 guests, ideal for couples or families. They have a kitchenette, a dining area, wifi, and a WC/shower.  Lambhús Cabins is a self-catering accommodation. Guests can bring their food and cook simple meals. They can also visit numerous restaurants in the area which serve fresh, quality, and local food. Lambhús is a place for nature lovers seeking tranquility and unspoiled nature. Hikers will find many hiking possibilities at the foot of the glacier. Various recreational activities are offered in the vicinity, for instance, glacier tours on snow scooters, boat tours on the glacier lagoon, and a bath in hot tubs with geothermal water in Hoffell. In the fishing town, Höfn travelers will find restaurants, cafes, a swimming pool, a visitor center with an exciting exhibition on nature and life in the region, and a supermarket. We are a family-run business located in the center of the Golden Circle, where we have many of Iceland’s most precious attractions around us, such as Geysir hot spring, Gullfoss waterfall, Þingvellir National Park, and Skálholt, an episcopal and one of Iceland’s historical places for hundreds of years. Blue View Cabins are a 5-minute drive from our Blue Hotel Fagralundi and are located on top of a hill, with great views and quiet surroundings. Many of our guests have said they feel they are in the middle of nowhere but still close to many of Iceland’s most popular sites, like Gullfoss, Geysir, and Þingvellir. There are two types of cabins. A-cabins that fit up to 6 persons and then our B-cabins that fit two persons. All of our cabins are equipped with a private hot tub.

Hunkubakkar Guesthouse has to offer 20 rooms in total. There are six rooms with shared facilities, six bigger cottages for 3 and 4 persons and eight double rooms with private bathrooms. The houses are close to the main building where the reception and lobby room/bar and restaurant are situated. Our restaurant serves local dishes and grilled lamb from our farm. There can be seated up to 50 persons, and we gladly welcome groups for dinner and a coffee/cake buffet. The surroundings of Hunkubakkar are very beautiful and green. Set in Laugarvatn in the South Iceland region, Eyvindartunga farm cottage is a lodge featuring a terrace and mountain views. Guests staying at this lodge have access to a fully equipped kitchen. Herríðarhóll is a successful horse-breeding farm and is very well located in the south. We offer short riding trips from 1 hour to several day rides, small groups, and individual guided trips in German and English. Holiday houseCosy holiday house in the country side where up to 7 people can sleep. Vorsabær 2 is situated only 80 kilometers from Reykjavík. In the house there are 2 bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other a bunk bed. Besides there is a 18 m2 sleeping loft with 3 beds. We also provide a crib on request, free for children up to 2 years old. There is floor heating in the house and the kitchen is equipped with all necessary tableware and is included in a spacious living room with a TV. Outside the living room is a patio with garden furniture and a gas barbecue. The view from the house is breathtaking, looking east you can see the volcano Hekla and in winter there is a good chance to witness amazing northern lights! Horse back riding with personal serviceIt is ideal for families and small groups of friends. Everyone can take part and the guides can lead the youngest childrens by the rein during the trip. We always start inside the riding arena where we will teach you all the basics and then we go outside and ride with you. There are good horses for both unexperienced riders and as well for experienced riders. You can choose between 1, 2 or 3 hours trips and even a day-trip for experienced riders which are 5 hours. We also provide children tours where we lead their horses by the rein inside the riding arena for about 10 minutes. We accommodate guests to visit our farm animals and see a real icelandic farm! We guide you on the farm for about 1 hour and you get the opportunity to spend some time with our animals to get to know them and pet them.

With sea views, Brú Guesthouse has accommodation with a kitchenette located in Hólmabæir. Free private parking is available on site. All units include a private bathroom and have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a microwave. A terrace with mountain views is offered in each unit. Rjúpnavellir in Rangárþing Ytra is a small and comfortable resort in south of Iceland. It is located only 9 km from the famous volcano - Hekla, about 90 minutes drive from Reykjavík. Hellishólar offers a 18 hole golf course with the rivers Þverá and Grjótá running through it. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, the golf course is both demanding and fun. Golf clubs and golfcarts are for rent. In addition, there is a driving range, pitch and put area and a par three mini course.  We also offer golf lessons for everyone, with special lessons available for ladies and couples. The school organises courses for 3 to 4 days which include instruction, accommodation and full board. All the instructors are highly qualified and the courses suit both beginners and those more advanced. At Hellishólar you also find a horse rental, for individuals or groups, in association with our neighbouring farm, 2 km away. Guided tours around the area are available and suit people from any age group, skilled riders or first-timers. Finally, Lake Hellishólar is well stocked with trout, with around a thousand rainbow trouts released into the lake each summer, weighing from 1.5 to 4 pounds. A large amount of oxygen in the water and good conditions make the trout being very lively. Fishing rods for children and grown-ups are for sale at Hellishólar. Our restaurant and conference room can seat up to 180 people and features a large screen television, an overhead projector and karaoke equipment. It is an ideal venue for all kinds of gatherings, for axample birthdays, weddings, meetings and conferences. At farm Miðdalskot we offer 5 apartments for rent. Our apartments are fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and barbeque. Each apartment has two bedrooms each with two 90x200cm beds and a double sleeper sofa in the living room. 6 people can sleep in each apartment and we can provide a baby bed for children younger than 2 years old.   Miðdalskot is a family farm with dairy cows and horses. There are tame and sweet horses by the apartments.   Miðdalskot is located 6 km from village Laugarvatn on the Golden Circle. It is a 20-minute drive to hot spring Geysir, 30 minutes to Selfoss, 20 minutes to Þingvellir National park, and 60 minutes to Reykjavík city. Hólaskjól is located on the highland route, Fjallabaksleið Nyrðri, about 35 km. from the main # 1 road.  You pass through the Skaftártunga area, road # 208, onto the Fjallabaksleið Nyrðri, road # F208. This is a coarse gravel road, but in summer it is passable by all types of vehicles. There are no unbridged rivers on the way. From Hólaskjól it is about 6 km. to the Eldgjá canyon. Shortly before you reach Eldgjá there is a small unbridged river, that quite often can only be forded by 4X4 vehicles. Hólaskjól is located at the foot of Lambaskarðshólar hills, at the edge of a lava field originating from an eruption in Eldgjá during the years 934-940. Hólaskjól is in a peaceful, sheltered area with beautiful surroundings. Only a 5 minute walk away is a very impressive waterfall in the river Syðri Ófæra. Itt resembles a smaller version of the well-known Gullfoss, or Golden Falls, and is therefore often called Little Gullfoss or Silver Falls.At Hólaskjól there is the main lodge on two floors, with sleeping bag accommodations in bunks for 61 persons. There are WC´s and showers on both floors and also cooking facilities with gas stoves and utensils for cooking and eating. There are also a few huts that are possible to rent with or without bed linen. The huts have gas stoves, utensils for cooking and eating, WC, and cold running water.There is good space available for tents and campers.
