Hotel Eldhestar Hotel Eldhestar is a cozy countryside hotel with a warm, luxurious atmosphere, located in the scenic heart of southwest Iceland, only 45 km from Reykjavik. Activities: Eldhestar operates the largest horse riding tours in Iceland, offering a range of horseback riding tours from one-hour rides to seven-day excursions. Herríðarhóll is a successful horse-breeding farm and is very well located in the south. We offer short riding trips from 1 hour to several day rides, small groups, and individual guided trips in German and English. Our horses are mostly of our breed and are well trained, and our surroundings between a lake and river offer stunning views. Please get in touch with us directly. Accommodation is available in new cottages and cozy double rooms with breakfast and dinner. A bath in our Jaccuzzis in the garden is excellent for preparing you for the next ride. Horseback ride and dinner with a Viking! Efri-Úlfsstaðir, our farm, is located right in the center of our greatest Saga: BrennuNjáls Saga. Arriving at our farm, you will be a part of our history, and you should also feel part of it. When we ride our horses, we ride on 1000-year-old tracks that the Vikings used to ride. We drink from the same river and look at the same mountains as the Vikings did. The horses are the foundation of all our tours, but our Saga, food, and insight give you a very special experience not to be found anywhere else.

Guesthouse Lambastadir is located 7 miles east of Selfoss on Highway 1, one hour away from the capital, Reykjavik. There are eleven rooms in the guesthouse, all with private bathrooms. Rooms are available in single, double or triple. Emphasis is placed on quality and personal service. Complimentary wi/fi internet connection is offered and an outdoor hot tub and sauna to enjoy the midnight sun in the summer or northern lights on winter nights. Breakfast is included in the room price. The guesthouse is well situated for visiting local attractions such as the National Park Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss waterfalls and Þórsmörk. Also Landmannalaugar in the interior, the Westman Islands (from Landeyjahöfn harbour), Hekla volcano and Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Guesthouse Lambastadir is a good location for viewing the northern lights due to the lack of light pollution. Charging stations for electric cars is on the parking lot. Lambastadir is a family-friendly place where sheep, horses, chickens, and our dog are nearby, great views and a quiet environment.
