We emphasize that our guests enjoy excellent experience in food and drink. To dine in a nice environment is an important factor in a good journey. The restaurant Geysir is an a la carte restaurant that has a various dishes and good food, suitable for everyone. We use products directly from farmers from the region. On our wine menu there is a wide selection of international wines.
For lunch you can order from our menu or guests can enjoy a delicious buffet of seafood, vegetables and meat course. Included are also fresh salads, soups, homemade bread and a wide selection of delicious desserts. Furthermore coffee and tea is included in the buffet. The buffet is served every day from 11:30 to 14:00 o’clock at the hotel. We strive to offer fresh, good food from the south of Iceland. We use ingredients straight from the farmers and we make both traditional Icelandic food mixed with international. Therefore our buffet is seasonal and not the same every day.
On warm summer days our guests can sit in the hotel garden with glass of wine and enjoy delicious dishes in the sun. At night our guests can sit by candlelight and enjoy the spectacular view of the geothermal area.

As you arrive by Geysir hot spring, the chef of restaurant Geysir will be waiting to greet you and walk with you over the geothermal areas were our guests experience to taste freshly baked hot spring bread. It is a local rye bread and it is buried in the geothermal ground for 24 hours. Served with Icelandic butter, boiled eggs (also boiled in the geothermal area) and herring. Best served with ice cold Geysir Schnapps.
