Midgard Restaurant, which is situated in the small town of Hvolsvöllur, offers “FEEL GOOD FOOD” that enriches the mind and body. It serves food based on the Icelandic heritage in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The chefs focus on offering produce from the local community and making things from scratch. All diets are catered for, vegetarian and vegan as well as meat and fish eaters.
Bar & Happy Hour
Our bar offers a good selection of Icelandic draft beer along with exciting cocktails and strong liquor. We have daily happy hour from 5-7PM. Come by for a drink and a chat with the locals.

Midgard Base Camp
Midgard Restaurant is part of Midgard Base Camp which offers unique accommodation with an exclusive access to a rooftop hot tub and sauna. Midgard’s location is superb to explore all the major attractions in South Iceland as well as the off-the-beaten path highlands. The atmosphere is relaxed and the ambience is super friendly. The Midgard team is always ready to assist you with your travel plans and give you local advice.
Hostel and hotel style accommodation
Midgard offers both bunk beds and private rooms (double or family). The bunk beds are uniquely designed with top quality mattresses, privacy curtains, bedside lights, electricity, lockable drawers and blackout blinds. In total we have 62 beds.

Midgard Adventure is a Tour Operator & Travel Agency that delivers authentic experiences with local,highly experienced guides. We offer day tours and multi-day trips, either in small groups or private, to both popular and well off-the-beaten path locations.
