Guesthouse Lambastadir is located 7 miles east of Selfoss on Highway 1, one hour away from the capital, Reykjavik. There are eleven rooms in the guesthouse, all with private bathrooms. Rooms are available in single, double or triple. Emphasis is placed on quality and personal service. Complimentary wi/fi internet connection is offered and an outdoor hot tub and sauna to enjoy the midnight sun in the summer or northern lights on winter nights. Breakfast is included in the room price. The guesthouse is well situated for visiting local attractions such as the National Park Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss waterfalls and Þórsmörk. Also Landmannalaugar in the interior, the Westman Islands (from Landeyjahöfn harbour), Hekla volcano and Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Guesthouse Lambastadir is a good location for viewing the northern lights due to the lack of light pollution. Charging stations for electric cars is on the parking lot.
