The Fimmvörðuháls trail (e. Five Cairn trail) enjoys growing popularity among hikers from all over the world.  The trail was chosen, along with the Laugavegur trail, one of worlds best hikes - for a good reason.

The hiking season has started and the number of hikers passing Fimmvörðuháls is growing each week.  We wish hikers a good and safe trip and encourage people to carefully monitor weather forecasts as weather conditions on the trail can change quickly and prepare well for difficult conditions.

On the webpage www.Fimmvörðuháls.is you can find practical information for preparation, links to weather forecasts etc. along with photos and news. The website opened 1. December 2013 and english translation is in progress and partly available.
