Tomorrow, June 1., the Environment Agency will reopen the nature conservation areas Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon and Skógaheiði at Skógafoss.

Severe gale force winds along the south coast tomorrow, Thursday, from Seljalandsfoss to Vík and from Skaftafell to Jökulsárlón! Wind gusts expected to reach 40 m/s so bigger and lighter vehicles should avoid travel in the area! Important to inform drivers on motorcomes, camping cars! Other drivers must slow down when travelling in the area! Considerable amount of rain is along-side this so travelling is not recommended! Heavy wind gusts 25-30 m/s will be from Reykjavík to Borgarnes in Kjalarnes and under Hafnarfjall. This will last all day!
